GameFi Problem 3: Ponzi-nomics & Sustainability
Traditional GameFi models where all players win and earn is not sustainable: The earnings for players in this case must have been generated from somewhere else, for example in the expense of newcomers to the game.
WinGoal has reworked the traditional GameFi economic model:
WinGoal Solution 1: New Tokenomics
WinGoal moves away from traditional ponzi-esque tokenomics by introducing the concept of Win-To-Earn-More. Players can win or lose their crypto stakes - the overall profit/loss ratio among all players are tending towards 1, avoiding the situations where
1) All players win and no-one loses.
2) Existing players' earnings must have been generated from newcomers.
Obviously, Win-To-Earn-More do not solve the problem of ponzi per se, but it has reduced - to a very large extent - the constant need of minting in-game tokens to provide as earnings. Earnings for players in win-to-earn derives mostly from those who has lost in the games. Therefore, inflation is effectively controlled.
WinGoal Solution 2: External Ads Revenue
All GameFi requires a positive in-game economic circulation to ensure sustainability. Traditionally, via IGO/INO, GameFi projects earn revenues and gain publicity of their game NFTs collections. The revenues could be partially used for token stablizations.
While tokens price are stablizing, projects hope that demand for their NFTs will increase steadily, consequently circulates back into the token economy. However, this model is proven to be flawed, because the source of earnings for players is solely by minting in-game tokens.
To fix this problem, there is a need to expand and diversify the sources of earnings, preferably from external sources.
Different ads placements are available for businesses and corporates to communicate to their target consumers. These ads generate external revenues for WinGoal.
All ads revenue will be given back to our communties - possibily in the form of buybacks or airdrops, thereby strengthening the in-game economy and stablizing tokens' fluctuations.
